This course aims to introduce students to the theory of emerging adulthood (ages 18-29 years) and explore the cultural-developmental trajectory during this period. Special attention will be given to exploring the experiences of emerging adulthood in different contexts (i.e. different countries, within socioeconomic status groups, etc.) and debunking popularized myths about this period of development. Adopting a seminar format, students will be trained to use critical inquiry to develop an informed perspective about this topic.
